First defining moment was RP company. It is a Christian Publishing Company that helps new writers go from BLANK PAGES TO BOOK SIGNINGS... Within six months time, I published 7 authors, placed them on national platform to sell materials, and assisted them with their book signings. The joy behind it made me feel like I helped someone fulfil his/her dream.

Another defining moment came when I was offered an Operations Trainer position at a Health Insurance Company...

My mission in life is to continue to align my personal aspirations with my educational and career goals. In 1998, I developed a workshop for a non-profit organization. During that time, I researched the topic, created a workbook, and presented the material to 50 people at one time. I gained so much personal knowledge from the research that I wanted to continue doing non-profit workshops and seminars on a yearly basis.

From that point, training became a desire of mine, so I went back to school to get a baccalaureate degree in Liberal Studies. I chose this degree because of the eight categories (developed from Ernest Boyer's Model of Study) that would add structure to my training path. The eight categories were: Identity, Work, Nature, Institutions, Language, Heritage, Art, and Tools.

After finishing my Bachelor Degree, I earned an additional 21 hours of Graduate Coursework in Informational Technology for Training and Development. My graduate coursework included: Research in Technology, Training Program Development, Instructional Technology (The ASSURE MODEL), Intro to Teaching and Learning with Technology, Technology Issues in Instruction, Methods and Materials for Teaching and Learning with Technology, and Electronic Summative Portfolio.

During the process of my education, I accepted a position as a Lead Customer Service Representative at an insurance company. I assist with training and monitoring new customer service representatives, and discuss performance opportunities, as needed.

Recently, my career path has collided with my personal goals. I accepted a position as a Operations Trainer at the insurance company. This role is familiar to me because of my previous experience and educational path.
My parents had the biggest impact on me. They provided a strong foundation for my development. This foundation has not only impacted my perspectives but it has also allowed me the opportunity to help shape my children's foundational structure.
